Back to Basic Living is in our neighbourhood! They are located at Viva Vista, 3 South Buona Vista Road, #01-32. Their philosophy is to “Upcycle, Repurpose, Reduce and Reuse”. So if any of you have any reusable containers or bottles, please bring them by and leave them at the upcycling area outside the store. You can also feel free to help yourselves to any of these containers for repurposing in your garden, for school projects, for making your own eco-enzymes or for whatever purpose you can think of.
There is also a compost bin near the entrance of the Viva Vista carpark, where you can upcycle your food waste such as egg shells, coffee grounds and fruit/veggie wastes.
They also sell homemade eco-friendly home products, as well as 100% vegan and soy/gluten-free homemade vegan food. When we visited Joyce at her cosy little shop last November, we were treated to samples of her food and we really enjoyed her raw vegan balls (pictured) as a delicious and wholesome snack.
