Today we travel back in time to November 1989 – that’s more than 30 years ago! Many thanks to our reader who sent us an old newspaper clipping advertising the launch of Chelsea Village, the cluster of houses at Jambol Place, off Jalan Mat Jambol. Look through the pics, you will see that the artist’s impression was most impressively brought to life.

You know you’re looking at a print from the 1980s when you spot telephone and fax numbers (in 7 digits, not 8!) in large and bolded font, with not a website or email address in sight! Anyone else miss the good old days where we would pull out the dog-eared street directory and study the map scrupulously before heading out?
